Paid extra fees for a softball bat that never arrived

I tried to buy a softball bat that was supposed to be shipping from Austin, Texas with Rapid Route Express. The tracking info never updated. Then I was told I needed to pay a $100 shipping insurance fee, so I did.

A few hours later, they contacted me again saying I needed to pay another $200 insurance fee for the last part of the shipment. When I questioned them about all of it, they just kept repeating that I needed to pay the extra $200. They said I'd get my item within an hour and then all the fees would be reimbursed.

I never received anything.
