Got a text about recovering money, they wanted my social before telling me who they are

I got a text message from a number (216) 243-8850. They said they were from something called "Recovery" and that I had money to claim. It felt off right away.
They wouldn't give me a real company name or any details. The person just kept asking me to verify my social security number first. I wasn't going to give that out to some random text. There's no website or anything to check. The whole thing didn't make sense.
