Got a weird text saying I won a lottery from someone named Richard Lavery.

Someone got my number and sent me a text message. It was from a Richard Lavery saying he won the lottery and was donating some of his money. There was a long description and then at the bottom it said to text some manager person, a Charles Woodley, at a different number.

It wanted me to text that number with a code. I looked it up because it seemed really fishy and like a scam. I found out there was another complaint about this from 2022, but my text said it was from 2025. Just wanted to put this out there so people are careful. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
