I keep getting calls from 888-269-4978 about some loan I never took out. They call multiple times a day, every single day. I've told them to stop and that I don't know who they're even looking for, but they just keep calling. It's straight up harassment.
I looked into it and the calls seem tied to a place called Ring Planet. Their website is ringplanet.com and they have an email [email protected]. They're listed in California. The whole thing feels off. I never signed up for anything with them.

Got a pushy cold call about "free" phones from someone pretending to be Frontier
I got a cold call from someone saying they were from "Frontier," which is our current phone provider. They said the copper lines are being discontinued and they had to send us free desktop phones for our company's landlines. I kept asking what the catch was, because nothing is free. They just got angry and repeated that the FCC is requiring them to offer free phones because of the phase out.
They sent me an email with a document to sign and were really pushy about filling it out fast. I read it and nowhere did it mention Frontier. When I asked the rude guy on the phone why Frontier wasn't on the document and why it showed I'd have to pay over $700 when he said it was free multiple times, he got even ruder. I finally hung up. As soon as I did, the virtual document link was blocked on his end. I'm glad I didn't fall for it. Hopefully other people see through this scam too.
