Got calls about a $36,000 loan approval I never applied for

I got a call from 833-588-3781. The person said they were a specialist working on my $36,000 personal loan approval. They said the underwriting notes showed they were just pending income verification. They asked for account information if I wanted to use a balance transfer option to pay off other balances.

Then they called again another time. This time the caller said his name was Ryan Walter and he was "the account." He said it was regarding a personal loan approval. He started asking for the same information all over again, about income verification and account details.

I never applied for any loan. It felt really off getting these calls out of the blue asking for my financial information.

Got a weird voicemail about a loan I never asked for

I got this voicemail today. A guy named Ryan Walter said he was calling about the status of my personal loan request. He said he was an account specialist working on my $36,000 loan approval.

He left this number, 833-588-3781. The message said they were pending income verification and needed account info if I wanted a balance transfer. He said to call back before 6 PM if I was interested.

I never requested any loan. I don't know who this is or how they got my number. It felt off. I didn't call back.
