Got tricked by a fake tech support call from SafeSys Innovations

I went to the Epson website to get help with color problems with my printer. I clicked that I wanted to talk to someone. They called me and talked me through the printer problem but then told me my computer was infected and that they could fix it. They said I needed virus protection and would help me set it up. I am usually very careful, but got suckered in on this one. I gave them my credit card info.

I checked the computer later and the virus protection was not working, so I froze my credit card. The charge was already pending. I took my computer to Best Buy Geek Squad and they checked it out and confirmed it was a scam. I immediately contacted my credit card fraud alert. The company has since called me several times. I have blocked the number. A new card is on the way, but I will not unfreeze it.
