Job offer on Indeed turned into check signing request

I was looking for remote work and applied with SCA Healthcare through Indeed.com. On April 8, 2026 I got an email from SCA Health Talent Coordination thanking me for applying and asking if I was still interested in the Customer Support Specialist role. I said yes and they told me to contact Aurelia Larkin on Microsoft Teams.

So I did that and we talked back and forth. I saved all the messages. Then they asked me to print out a check and physically sign it. That’s when I stopped talking to them. It didn’t feel right. I didn’t lose any money but it was a waste of time.
