Got a letter about student loans, gave my info, then realized it's a scam

I got a letter in the mail about student loan debt consolidation and called the number. I ended up giving out a lot of my personal information over the phone to a guy named David Jones. After I hung up, I decided to look the business up online. I found a Reddit forum talking about it and realized it was a scam.

I called back right away to cancel whatever I'd agreed to. David Jones and another person I spoke to acted like there was nothing they could do, saying the paperwork was already being "processed." All I did was sign a contract. So I read the contract again and it said I could cancel by email or mail. I sent an email to terminate it and they did write back to confirm.

I still want to report this because it feels like a fraud. They have my personal information now and I never should have given it.
