Review: I contacted Stano Landscaping regarding an estimate for lawn/tree services due to an accident which occurred at my property. I spoke with Norma after inquiring about an estimate. She asked if this estimate is for an insurance claim. I stated yes and she stated there would be a $50.00 charge if the estimate is related to an insurance claim. I agreed and she asked if I wanted to pay for the estimate by phone before they had even come out to the property. I stated I would wait until the Stano representative come out and I would pay when I received the service. She stated she would have someone call me within 3-5 days to set up an appointment. I waited one week and never received a call. I call the company back on 7/26 and spoke to Norma again. She stated my name had been forwarded to a representative. Approximately and hour later, a representative contacted me and wanted to come out to see the property on the same day. Initially, he stated I did not need to be present and he would contact me by phone later and we agreed I could come to Stano to pay and pick up the estimate. However, he called back a short time later, stating the owner of the company wants to charge $70.00 for the estimate. I stated [redacted] quoted this price to me and it should be honored. The representative stated, the owner was aware Norma quoted the wrong price but the price is $70.00 and refuse to honor the initial estimate price.Desired Settlement: I am in litigation with an out-of-state insurance company and they are waiting for an estimate I promised over a week ago. This is absurd that a reputable company would be so trivial about $20.00.

Therefore, I am requesting a complimentary estimate to be performed for the inconvenience.

I have investigated her claim and it seems to have been resolved on August 2, 2013, two days after she filed her complaint.

I have attached a copy of her check in the amount of $50.00 for the cost

of the insurance estimate, as quoted. I have also attached a copy of

the estimate provided to the client on the same date.

I believe there are no issues to be resolved. If you agree that that is

the case, please send me the appropriate documentation that this file

had been closed in a satisfactory manner.
