Text about court date in Clayton MO for traffic violations

My husband got a text. It said he needs to be in Clayton, MO by tomorrow April 22, 2026 at 9:00am.

They claimed it was sent through the State of Alabama for the Traffic Division in St. Louis County. There were statute codes added, violations of parking and speeding. They asked for payment of all outstanding tolls, fines, civil penalties, court costs, and administrative fees too.

A QR Code was attached for quicker payment processing. The phone number was (959) 238-7026 and the address they gave was 105 S. Central Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63105. Felt off right away.
