Texted about a data entry job that turned into a weird check deposit request

I got a text from someone named Matthew Peterson about a data entry clerk job offer. After that, I got an email with an acceptance letter. I gave them my basic info to register, like my name, address, date of birth, email, and phone number.

Then they sent a link to join Telegram and assigned me a supervisor named Phillip Horton. On Telegram, Mr. Horton said the first step was to get company equipment. He said their accounting department recommends a secure email for payment and that I could deposit the check using my bank's mobile app. Now they're asking me to confirm I have access to my bank's mobile app for mobile check deposit. The whole thing feels off.
