Got a fake Subaru warranty letter that almost tricked me
I got this official-looking letter in the mail from "Subaru" telling me to extend my warranty. It had my exact make and model and everything, and my warranty really is about to run out, so I almost called them right then. It looked that real.
But I decided to look up the number first, (888) 387-0426, and I'm glad I did. I found out other people got the same letter and said it was a scam. The return address just says NJ, USA. Nothing about it was actually from Subaru. I just wanted to report it here so maybe someone else searches the number before they call.
