Priority mail letter with a check telling me to buy eBay cards

I got a priority mail envelope with a letter inside saying I need to buy $2000 worth of eBay cards in the next 24 hours. They sent a check made out to me for $2450. After I buy the cards I have to scratch off the codes and send clear pictures of the cards and receipts to this email they gave.

The email is [email protected] and the phone number on it is (623) 230-8949. The return address on the envelope says Marion, IL. I didn't lose any money yet but this whole thing feels off. I assume it's a scam.
