Got a weird text about my taxes from a number I don't know.

I got a text message out of the blue. It said it was from the Tax Resolutions Department. I don't know who that is. I never contacted them about anything. They just sent me this message. I didn't sign up for this. It feels off to get a text like that from a number I don't recognize. I don't have any business with them. Now I'm just wondering why they have my number and why they're texting me.

Getting scary calls about a tax matter I don't know anything about

I keep getting calls from someone saying they're from a tax resolutions department. The number is (414) 437-8382 and they say they're calling from Georgia.

They leave voicemails saying they need to resolve an important tax matter before my file goes to collections. It's clearly meant to scare me into calling back. They're trying to get personal information like my Social Security number, date of birth, and address.

I never signed up for anything with them. The calls just started out of nowhere and it feels like a scam to get my info.
