Hired for a job that turned out to be a package reshipping scam

So I got contacted by this company called Terrafyx. They offered me a remote logistics position. No formal interview or anything, just hired me right away. They said my job was to receive packages at my home, take off the original shipping info and invoices, print new labels, and send them back out to different addresses.

They told me there would be a 30-day probation period and after that I’d get a check for $3,250. They even sent me an I-9 form and payroll stuff to make it look real. Felt off but I went along with it at first.

Then I looked into it more and found out it’s a known package reshipping scam. The packages are probably stolen goods bought with stolen credit cards. They use people like me as middlemen so they don’t get caught. Meanwhile I’m the one who could get in trouble and they just disappear without paying. Lost $275. Their number is (213) 408-7099 and the website is terrafyx.com. Address in Los Angeles, CA. Email was [email protected].
