Got a weird text about buying my house for way too little money
I got a text sent to a family member. It was offering to buy my home for half of what it’s worth. They used our actual home address in the message.
The person said their name was Tom and told my family member to just text back “yes” if she was interested. It felt really off. The number was (616) 952-6894. It’s just a lowball offer out of nowhere to someone who doesn’t even own the house.

Got a text from "Tom" offering to buy my house for way under value
I just got a random text message. It was addressed to me but it was from someone named "Tom." The text said they wanted to buy my house. The offer they mentioned was for less than half of what my property is appraised at for taxes. It felt really off. Who texts you out of the blue with an offer like that? The number was (251) 426-1208 and it said they were in Alabama. I never signed up for anything or talked to anyone about selling. It just doesn't make any sense.
