Trans Canada Car Rental

I am a frequent user of rental cars In fact I most likely rent one at least every other week for the past five years In all my years of renting I have never had such a terrible experience I have no issue with having to go to a substation to collect my vehicle, I don't even mind being collected by a person with no company identification or company car (although many might be concerned to get in a car with an unmarked car with a stranger), but I do have a small issue with waiting forty minutes to collect my reserved and prepaid car, because there was a line of six customers all disputing their rental charges!
OK, that should have been an indicator, but my car was already rented and paid for, so I waited Once I was given the car, it was not clean, but I don't have an issue with that either So why the one star?
Well, when I returned the car they tried to up charge me and I was very clear that I was not an inexperienced traveler and they could double talk all they wanted, but I wasn't paying anything extraThey walked around my car several times trying to find a dent, scratch, etc Finally with nothing to find they reluctantly closed my rental I then waited thirty minutes to be returned to the airport train stop at Viscount
OK, so that's no so terrible, why the one star?
Well today, five months later, I was billed on my VISA for a toll charge I in fact did not use a toll road and made certain of it by using my GPS to avoid the tolls The charge was $73.78!!! Yes, they added a "service charge" of $plus fees and taxes to the $supposed charge I've contacted VISA and they are investigating, but I hold little faith the charge will be reversed as both the merchant and VISA benefit from the charge

This place is not a discount car rental business. They take the same amount of money from the customers as the at terminal agencies. [redacted] Its safe to assume that your final bill will be 35% - 65% higher than your online quote (which will say is a full quote)
They're business model is such that you do not find out what you actually will pay until you are stranded out at their out the way - off terminal [redacted]. Left without recourse you submit to their [redacted] salesmanship and take their [redacted] vehicles for a price you never would have singed up for had it all been up front in the first place. [redacted]
