Got a strange call using my son-in-law's name

I got a phone call from someone saying my son-in-law had given them my name. The guy on the phone said, "didn't he tell you about this?" I told him no. I think it was something about insurance. I said I wasn't interested.

Afterwards I asked my son-in-law about it and he denies doing any such thing. The whole thing felt off. The call came from (804) 533-6281 and they said they were in Richmond, VA. I don't know who they really were.
