Phone call from someone claiming to be a federal officer about my Social Security

I got a call from (646) 351-2337. The guy said his name was John and he was a federal officer. He told me my Social Security number had been compromised and that there were multiple accounts opened in my name across three states. Said they were all fraudulent.

He sounded pretty serious about it. I didn't give him any money or anything but it was really unsettling. The whole thing felt wrong so I looked it up. No company name or anything else on the call. Just that number from Texarkana, TX.
