Loan company approved me then asked for money back first

They approved me for a $10,000 loan and said they were gonna send me $1700 that I have to send back and then they would send me the $10,000. I got an email from [email protected] and their website is https://www.usaunitedlenders.net. They gave an address in New York, NY 10001. The phone number was (909) 254-6119.

It just didn't make sense. Why would I need to send money back to get the loan? I didn't send anything but it felt off. No company name on the letter really either. Just felt strange the whole thing.
