Got a letter from USPS about a check for my wife who passed away
I got this letter in the mail from USPS. It told me to call 888-788-4779. It said there was a check for $199 made out to my wife.
My wife is deceased. The letter made it sound like there was some kind of mortgage issue with the house. It said to call immediately.
I called the number. They were asking for information. The whole thing felt off. There shouldn't be a check in her name. I didn't give them anything, but it was upsetting to get this.
