Got a weird letter about an insurance policy from a dead stranger.

I got this letter in the mail on April 3rd. It's from someone at Violaroland.com. The letter says a person who has the same last name as me died two years ago and left an insurance policy worth over eleven million dollars.

They wanted to know if I would give my consent to use my name to claim this money. They said they'd give ten percent to charity and then split the rest with me. The whole letter stressed that this needed to be kept confidential.

It just feels off. The whole thing seems strange, like it's happened before. The contact email is [email protected] and they're based out of Santee, CA. I never responded to it.

Got a letter saying a relative left me millions of dollars

I got this letter in the mail from violaroland.com. It says a relative of mine passed away and left 11 million dollars. They want to give 10% to a charity and then split the rest with me.

The whole thing feels off. I never signed up for anything from them. The letter came out of nowhere. They have a phone number and an address in Toronto, and an email. But I don't know who they really are. It just doesn't make any sense to me.
