Getting threatening calls and voicemails about a legal issue

I keep getting calls and voicemails from Williamspeters.com. The number is 1(833) 726-9171. Different agents call, but they sound like they might be AI.

They say they're calling about a legal issue. They told me it would be "escalated" if I didn't call back or go to their website. In one message, they threatened to use "skiptracing" to find me in person if I didn't contact them.

I never signed up for anything with them. I don't know what they're talking about. The whole thing feels like a threat to scare me.

Got a threatening voicemail from a debt collector I've never heard of

I got a voicemail from Williamspeters.com. The number was (833) 726-9174. They said if I didn't respond they'd start "skip tracing efforts" to find me. That sounds like a threat to me. I still have the voicemail saved.

I pay all my bills, so they can kiss my [censored]. I never got an email, just this call. They're listed in Riverhead, NY. I don't owe them anything, but they said I did and took $100 from me. This whole thing is a scam.

Got a call about a fake HSBC debt I don't owe

I got this call from WilliamsPeters.com. They're saying I have a delinquent account with HSBC bank. I do not have that. I don't owe that.

I actually declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy back in January of 2025. This debt isn't even on my credit report. It's not there.

The whole thing is a scam, I know that. But it's weird how meticulously documented it all seems. They had details. It felt off from the start.

I got a voicemail from a woman named Anne. She said it was about a personal business matter and that their firm has called several times. She said they really need to hear back from me as soon as possible, preferably today.

She told me to call or go to their website, williamspeters.com. Then she said the attempt was documented and they might be forced to take further steps and begin "skip tracing" in my county if I don't respond. She ended it with "please do the right thing."

I don't have any outstanding issues or debt with anyone. I don't know what this is about. The whole message felt off and threatening for no reason.

Got repeated voicemails from a firm about a personal business matter

After a few of these messages, I called the number back. A man answered and just said "yeah." He asked why I was calling. I told him to take my number off their list. He was really rude about it and just hung up on me. The whole thing feels like a scam.
