Getting harassing calls about a fake loan after a Facebook purchase

I bought something through a seller on Facebook and it turned out to be a scam. The seller's email was [email protected]. I lost $18 from it.

Now I keep getting calls from 888-269-4978 about a loan I never took. They call me multiple times a day, sometimes from different numbers, and they are very aggressive. They say I owe money and threaten legal action. I have told them repeatedly that I have no loan with them and to stop calling, but they continue. It's harassment. I think my information got taken from that Facebook scam.

Ordered clothes from a seller on Facebook and never got them

I saw an ad for clothes on Facebook and placed an order. The total came to $29. I paid for it, but the items never showed up.

I tried to contact the seller through the Facebook page, but I got no reply. The page was based out of Hampton, VA. It just feels like I sent my money and got nothing for it.

I never received any tracking info or an update on my order. It's been a complete waste.

Got fake court papers from someone on Facebook

I got a message from someone on Facebook. They used the email [email protected] and an address in Dinuba, California, 362 n dickey ave.

They filed false proof of summons with the courts. The court documents were falsified. It was a phishing attempt. I didn't lose any money, but the whole thing felt really off. Getting fake legal papers from a random person online doesn't make any sense.

Saw a suspicious ad for Jelly Burn with fake celebrity videos

This offer showed up on my Facebook feed. It had a long explanation about how Jelly Burn worked and everything. It sounded very legit, and it used Kathy Bates and other known celebrities. It was even thanking Dr. Gupta for his help.

But when I tried to look for the actual source site for the body burn product, it took me to a fully Chinese account. Everything was in Chinese. What really caught my attention was how the celebrities talked—all their speech had exactly the same cadence. And the video said it was produced in Japan. Not China! That didn't make any sense. The whole thing felt off.

Bought a top from Facebook that wasn't as described

I bought a top from someone on Facebook. Their email is [email protected]. They said it was washed cotton denim but it wasn't. It was just flimsy material printed to look like denim. It's not denim at all.

When I had a complaint and tried to return it, they made it difficult. They make you pay to send it back if you don't like it. I think they should pay for the return since they misrepresented the item. I lost $36.48 on this.

Ordered flower seeds online, paid and never got them

I saw an ad on Facebook for flower seeds and placed an order. I paid $39 for them. I never received the seeds.

When I contacted the company about it, they told me the seeds had been delivered. They gave me a tracking number, but it was fake. Nothing ever showed up. I'm out the money and never got what I paid for.

Facebook took multiple payments from my debit card without my permission

I just saw that Facebook took money from my debit card. They took multiple payments and it all adds up to $64. It came out of my account and I didn't authorize any of it. The charges are from Facebook. I don't know why they did this or what it's for. I never bought anything. Now I'm out this money and it's really frustrating.

Hired a contractor from Facebook who took my money and left the job unfinished

I found this guy on Facebook to do work on my condo. We had an agreement that the whole project would be done in less than a month. I started giving him advance payments because he kept having problems. He said it was family issues, health stuff, and even that his car broke down. Then he told me he couldn't finish the job unless I sent more money, saying he didn't even have gas to get to my place.

We started this back in November of last year. It's now April and the work is still not done. My condo is just left torn up. He has completely stopped answering my messages and blocked me. I ended up losing $15,000 to him.

Lost $1500 to a moving service I found on Facebook

I found this person on Facebook who says they have licenses to move and set up mobile homes in New Mexico. They seemed legitimate based on what they posted.

I paid them $1500 for the service. The money is just gone now. Nothing ever happened, no move was done. I tried the phone number I had, (505) 319-9386, but it didn't lead anywhere helpful.

They listed an address in Los Lunas, NM 87031, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm out the money and got no service. It was all through Facebook.

Bought a health product on Facebook that didn't work, then got charged again

I saw an ad for a health aid on Facebook and bought a six-month supply. It was a subscription, and the total was $290. The item showed up a little over two weeks later. I started using the first 30-day supply. After three weeks, I hadn't seen any improvement at all.

Then the company sent me a notification that they had shipped my next order, for another six months of product. This was less than a month after I got the first order. I contacted them right away to ask why and to cancel. They told me it had already shipped, but it hadn't—it was a Sunday and the tracking showed nothing had been picked up. They said I'd have to wait for it to be delivered and then contact them again for a return and a possible refund.

This feels like a total scam, both the product and their subscription service.

Ordered weight loss patches on Facebook, got sent a bed pad instead

I went online looking for weight loss patches and saw them on Facebook. I placed an order. What I got in the mail wasn't patches at all. It was just a pad, like a bed pad or a puppy training pad. I lost $59.00 on this order. The address for it was 60-28 Myrtle Ave in Ridgewood, NY. I never got what I paid for.

Paid for a motorcycle seat on Facebook and never got it

I bought a motorcycle seat on Facebook for $350. I paid the seller through Messenger. We went back and forth about a tracking number and they finally sent one, for something called Express Waves Cargo.

The delivery date came and went with nothing. When I tried to contact the seller again, they said I needed to pay a $250 refundable insurance deposit to get my item. That didn't make any sense to me.

Now I can't reach the seller at all. I also tried to contact the shipping company they used, but there's no way to talk to a real person. My money is just gone.

Saw a free Wilson basketball offer on Facebook, ended up losing money

I saw this thing on Facebook for a free Wilson basketball. It was posted right there. So I went through the process they had.
Next thing I know, $35.98 came out of my account. I lost that money just trying to get this ball they said was free. It didn't make any sense. I never got a basketball or anything.

Ordered linen sheets from Facebook, got used dirty cheap ones instead

I saw an ad for linen sheets on Facebook and paid $140 for them. The money came right out of my account.

What showed up was some used, unwashed sheets. They were shiny and low quality, nothing like what was advertised. I feel completely ripped off. I paid for new linen and got someone's old dirty sheets.

Signed up for an AI wealth scheme that cost $67 and asked for more

I got involved with this supposed "AI" wealth scheme on Facebook. It cost $67 just to sign up for their system plan. Then the person I talked to tried to coerce me into opening a credit card to get capital to start the business. I told him I didn't want to open more credit.

We ended up arguing about it, shouting over the phone. That's when he let it slip that he would actually need $5000 to make it happen. I knew right then it was a scam, just fishing for vulnerable people to take advantage of. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess. All I want is my $67 back.

Bought fake silver coins from a seller on Facebook

I bought 10 silver coins from a seller on Facebook. Their address was a PO Box in Saint Petersburg, Florida. When the coins arrived, I took them to get certified. The company told me there was no silver in them at all.

I had 60 days to return them, so I sent them back exactly how the seller instructed. Later, I got a letter from them saying my refund of $199 was sent to my credit card company.

My credit card company checked and said they never got any money from the seller. They tried to get the funds but had no success. I never got my money back.

Ordered a dress online and got a completely different item

I ordered a dress from a company I saw on Facebook. When it finally arrived, it was nothing like the picture. Not the same style, not the same color, literally nothing like what I paid for.

I contacted them asking to return it. They wouldn't do a return. They said they could give me 10% of my money back, or a discount on my next purchase. Why would I ever purchase from them again? I told them I wanted a full refund and that I would even pay to ship it back.

After that, the company just ghosted me. No replies, nothing. I still haven't gotten my money back for this dress that isn't even the right one. It was a total waste of $58.

Got scammed for $60 on a Facebook purchase

I saw something for sale on Facebook. I sent the money, $59.95, to the seller. They gave me a tracking number, 4PX3002495080199-CN, but nothing ever showed up.

The person's email is [email protected] and their phone number is (269) 436-0678. I tried contacting them after I realized the package wasn't coming, but I got no reply. The whole thing just feels like a scam now. I'm out the money and I never got what I paid for.

Ordered 2025 proof coins from a seller but got 2005 used coins instead

I saw an ad on Facebook for 2025 proof coins and placed an order. The seller is located in Texas. I paid $56 for what was advertised.

What I received was completely different. They sent me 2005 used coins, not the 2025 proof coins shown. They also included coins I never ordered. Now they want me to pay for those extra coins, and I refuse. This is false advertising. I got items I didn't ask for and not what I paid for.

Ordered dentures from a Facebook ad, got something completely different

I saw an ad on Facebook for dentures. It said they came in full and you just had to soak them in warm water to fit. That's what I ordered.

I put in the order over two months ago. The item finally came in the mail today. It is not what I ordered at all. It's not even close.

I paid $53 for this. The ad was misleading and what they sent is useless.
